For years, the amalgam filling was the most prevalent type of filling material for restorations. It is not the most suitable material, as metal does not bond as tightly as needed, and many people don't want the dark plug in their teeth. 

At our practice, we use only the latest composite resin fillings, unnoticeable because they are made to match the shade of the tooth. They contain no metals, adhere tightly to tooth structure, and actually give additional strength to a tooth. This type of filling enhances your smile while diminishing the chance of decay setting in.
